Laminate worktops wide enough for kitchen island??

Hello,

We will be doing our kitchen soon and although I would ideally like a quartz style worktop, I am also looking into laminate. I have 2 long-ish runs, which I know I can get laminate for but what I am struggling with is the island/peninsular part - I need a substrate that is 1100mm wide x 1350mm long.

Does anyone have an island made from laminate? If so, where did you get it from?

I like the look of this but they only do it in "normal" widths.

Can anyone help please? I am hopeful you fabulous ladies can help!! TIA

Try Ikea they make bespoke laminate surfaces - no idea what size they go up to though.

Thank you, will do. I think we are getting ikea cabinets anyway and are heading out to them next week - will ask them, I hope they go big enough because one of the laminates I like is by them!

RedSpike,

Thank you so much for that tip above - been to ikea and they do do a bespoke service that goes as wide as we need it! Am very pleased!

Thanks again!
