Cost of an extension help

Could I be cheeky and ask those of you that have recently extended how much is cost?

We are interested in a house that needs a ground floor extension to create a large kitchen/dinner. We would probably be looking at extending by 7-8 metres.

Just a rough guide if what people have paid would be helpful. The only person I know who has extended in RL is my dad ad he is convinced it would still cost the same as it for him back on 1984!

We are building on a diner to our kitchen of about 12ft x 14ft. Plus new utility room, downstairs loo & 2 bedrooms upstairs. New porch. Cost of 67k Inc VAT

We extended onto our kitchen 5 years ago. For a 20ft by 7ft single extension which we then had plastered and electrics and heating added it cost us 17k.
All they did was build the room and make good and we decorated and laid flooring ourselves.
