Painting a room - do you do emulsion or woodwork first?

Is there a "correct" method? I've always done woodwork first and saved the emulsion (the easier bit) for last. Partner does the opposite.

I have advice from an expert

Ceiling, then walls then woodwork (skirting)

Don't know about windowsills - I was doing 2 coats so did ceilings, walls, skirting, windowsills and doorframes, doors, ceiling walls and skirting again.

Good luck Grin
