Part Exchanges on New Houses - Do Builders Negotiate on Percentages

Hi All,

I read that if you part exchange your house for a new build, your existing home can only be worth a max of 70% of the new home's value. Do you know if builders ever negotiate on this? We fancy a new build but can't afford to spend 30% more on our next house if this makes sense.

I have been looking into this recently, and have found some builders offer 75%, but that is the maximum that I have seen.

Thanks Gonzo. At least it sound like maybe there is some room for negotiation then perhaps. Will wait and see!
