How hard would it be for a 'conventional' carpenter with conventional tools to make a 1/4 circle profile length of 'trim'?

Imagine a big, thick wooden broom handle, with a diameter of say 80mm, cut it in half lengthways, then again so the end result is (4 lengths of) a piece of wood with a 1/4 circle profile.

Would that be straight forward?

The saws they use don't generally cut circular wood

As long as they had the right tool, easy; my partner has just cut some for the edging of the flooring I put down in our caravan. However, I don't know what the tool is, sorry. So if you can't buy it, then yes a carpenter or someone with a good range of woodworking tools would do it for you. Does that help? But also, is it really essential to have it the size you want, or could it not be a mm either way, to enable you to buy it cheaply off the shelf?

Plus of course a dowel which was 8cm thick; I can't remember seeing one that diameter
