Hi
We recently had our drive block paved & we widened the drive resulting in less grass out front. It seems, I think, they dug up too much grass as there is a 1st gap of soil between the drive & the grass, shock looks ugly. Is this usual? I was hoping for a nice neat line of grass/paving - I'm wondering if it is normal to have the strip of dirt? I did ask them about it & they suggested I grass seed it - I just feel peeved as didn't expect I'd have to do anything!!!!!
Many thanks

I know nothing about block paving (I know what it is!) but it doesn't surprise me there's a gap. Use it as a flower border or reseed with grass, either way it'll settle by spring.

I take it there is a raasied kerb edging to the paving.
They would have needed working space to dig out and lay sub base.

You should have asked for them to put down new turf to the edge..

reseeding isn't a big job really.
