We are redecorating our living/dining room, and it will be something along the lines of the following (eventually!):

Wooden floor, stripped floorboards
Mostly cream walls, with a mauvey-grey-blue feature something like this
"rustic" style dining table
traditional sofa in beigy brown
fireplace (eventually to be a woodburner but currently a "classical" kind of gas stove.

this is what is currently there

We will need two, one over the sitting room area and one over the dining table.

I think we probably want something traditional, but not shiny fake brass.

They are currently on a dimmer switch, but that can be changed.

Any suggestions? Budget about £50 each I would say.

Thanks all!

Sorry can't figure out how to do a link! That along the right lines or way off?

I'd probably go for a drum shade, but with some pleating or detailing to make it more period-y. Something like:

this

or this

Alternatively maybe this sort of thing?
