Offer accepted yesterday on a house on the condition we move in 3 weeks (our original move date before that sale fell through)

Anyway, when we moved in here 12 years ago we had nothing very little and it wasnt too much of a hassle.

Now......we have 2 young dc and the house is much larger as we extended it 4 years ago and EVERY room is FULL of stuff.

Urgently need to know;
How to get a good removals company that wont charge the earth
Where to get packing materials from
Tips on how to pack effectively
Tips on how to stay sane

TIA!

My motto is you can always sort it out at a later date. Boxes are great as in the storage place you can stack, we went 3 boxes high and about 4 across so we could fit shed loads in.

We did this before we put the house on the market

Box it and get it into storage, deal with it later Grin

wouldn't it be so much easier to pay the movers to pack it and move it all in one go? i can't believe competition is really that poor in East Anglia that £1k + is your best price. We are paying around £700 for a large 3-bed house in SE London to be fully packed up and moved. Going into storage and moving it out of again is something we priced but it would add another few hundred quid.
