Wooden walls, what to do?

The sitting/dining room is big, and the wall are entirely brown pine. Huge neutral brick facia to open fireplace. Pitched ceiling with two windows. One wall entirely floor-to-ceiling windows.

We're not getting rid of the pine, but painting over. Have lots of books in bookcase and loads of paintings which also stay.

What colour for the walls; somebody on another thread said cream was out and now I'm sad.

Who cares what is 'in' or 'out' it's your home, colour it your colours!

I see what you're saying, and as I'm in Australia, no MNers will be able to pint and laugh at my colour schemes.:o

God i'd do cream, in fact i just have Grin on what were dark brown varnished beams that run throughout the house.. The difference it has made is amazing.

Also painted my huge stone fireplace cream too.. So happy to have a light bright house now!
