Fake fireplace - how?

I'm moving to a 80s house with an L shaped living room. To give it a focus I want to build a fake chimney breast and either install an electric fire (think i need a real chimney for gas) or a lovely fake that I can stack with logs for effect. Any ideas where to buy?

I've bought a victorian fireplace off ebay and just use it as focal point that makes the room look so much better. If you buy from larger companies many will offer electric or gas inserts specially made for the fire if it is an antique one. Most modern copies will have a standard size grate and will also sell standard size inserts.Look online at the different companies first.
