Moving house list - help me, my brain has fried!

Currently living in a rented house, about to move back to my "main" house which is almost renovated..

What do I need to do/give notice on? Having a hell of a week and I am struggling to think straight!

  • Notice to landlord YES - given by email, posting letter tomorrow
  • Straighten out the property for possible viewings
  • Utilities and phone
  • Council Tax
  • Car Insurance
  • House Insurance
  • Chimney sweep booked
  • Garden and weed control - plans are afoot
  • Final clean down once we and furniture are out
  • Van to move

I didn't move most of my post stuff, as I still had my "old" address which I visited every day so most things still go there.

What else is there? Confused

TIA

  • bank/credit card companies
  • school
  • GP
  • dentist
  • vet (if you have pets)
  • arrange phone/broadband/electricity/water etc for new home
  • inland revenue
  • driving licence, car papers, road tax etc

Good luck!!!!

I think you've got it all covered. You sound a million times more organised than me. Enjoy your new old house.

I forgot:

  • PACK!!!!

All that other murlarkey never got moved over to the temporary address, though I did tell school, so yes, I can tell them we are moving back home now.

Thanks for the checklist too!
