I just lifted up the carpet hall to see what state the floorboards were in, only to find out that there is a laid down wooden floor there (identical to that in the lounge). Great, but they have glued the carpet underlay to it, and whilst it's easy to get the underlay off, the glue remains. What are my chances of getting the glue off without ruining the floor, and what can I use?
