I have gone on about bamboo flooring on other threads and highly recommend it, particularly the solid strand woven sort, which is amazingly scratch-resistant.

sorry couple of questions

can I ask how is it for taking weight as im no lightweight and though use manual also have a powerchair as well.

Also is it completley smooth finish as need to be for moving around

We put Polyflor down 4 years ago and so far the powerchair has not left a single mark. It's like industrial lino but it looks like laminate. It wasn't cheap but definitely worth it.

Providing you've got a good subfloor the bamboo should be fine with the weight - it's solid and stable. And yes, it's completely smooth. The Bamboo Flooring Company (or any other company, but that's where I got mine) will send you free samples.

We have recently installed bamboo throughout our ground floor. It looks stunning, and seems to be extremely hardwearing. We got ours from the Bamboo Flooring Company.
