Paint smells - yuck.

And it's only emulsion!

I really dislike the smell of paint. I can actually taste it. Results look great but the house smells.

Obviously I've opened all the windows and doors.

Is there a secret way of disguising paint smells or getting rid of it quicker?

Try using water based paints - Dulux Ecosure range for example offer low VOC (that's the nasty smelling stuff) undercoats and gloss.

I often specify these for projects in e.g. school or old peples homes with great success although on large flat surfaces like flush doors you have to be careful with temperature in case they dry too quickly and obviously exterior use when it's raining is a no-no!

Nah - you need some of those really naff magic tree things for the car. Hang a couple of those up in the freshly painted room and it absorbs it in no time!
