What's the website that provides a profile of the area?

I know I have previously looked at a website that provided detailed profile information if you put in a postcode. From memory it included:

  • % homes owned / rented / social housing
  • age category breakdown of residents
  • average number of occupants per dwelling
  • flood risk
  • crime statistics
etc

I thought it was upmystreet.com, but I have just looked and it only seems to provide crime stats and house prices. And over a very wide area too.

Any suggestions?

Try UpMyStreet, if it's still going. Also Rightmove, Zoopla and other property websites. And nethouseprices/ mouseprice.

I think it used to be ACORN profiling on Up My Street, but if they don't do it there anymore, not sure where you'll find it. Used to be fascinating!

I see. So it probably was upmystreet but they have stopped doing that particular profiling.

You are right MrsK, it was fascinating! And we would find it really useful now as we want to know whether particular villages are full of young families or old ladies.

Oh well, we will just have to assess % of frilly net curtains v smell of nappies in the bins instead.Wink

You can still get to it via upmystreet, but it is more hidden.

www.upmystreet.com/local/neighbours-in-mk13-8dp.html

(this isn't my postcode by the way, but I'd like it to be !) You can use the change location tab from that link I think.
