I'm looking to remodel the back of my house, walls down, rooms moved, but I want to make sure I make best use of space. Anyone know an architect or creative technical person who can help me? Any help much appreciated!

The RIBA (royal institute of architects ) can give you some direction on how to find an architect as we come in all shapes and sizes. www.architecture.com/UseAnArchitect/Home.aspx

and what to look for when working on your home it applies equally if you are building a house from scratch or knocking it about a bit this client guide gives you an idea why an architect rather than another 'professional' is a good idea
www.architecture.com/UseAnArchitect/GuidanceAndPublications/GuidanceAndPublications.aspx

when you've narrowed down the list a bit - have a chat with a few, you'll soon realise whether or not you have the same vision and can work together. This is very important as you house is very personal and as such can can be the source of much heartache if you don't get it right.

Hope it helps!
