moving from 2 storey to bungalow - any advice.

Hi,

We live in a 3 bedroom terraces house, but are looking at moving. There is a lovely 2 bedroom bungalow for sale.

We only have one child. Has anyone moved from two to one storeys or from a three to two bedroom house.

Did you regret it?

Sizewise bungalow is probably bit bigger than our house now.

My friends have done it with one child aged 2. They like it BUT their main complaint is that it's not easy for one of them to have a lie-in while the other gets up with their daughter because of the noise and everything being on one level. Also, they have problems when they have people round in the evenings as their daughter can hear everything that's going on and refuses to go to bed!

We live on one level and haven't had same problems but we have very, very thick walls and it's easy to 'isolate' the children from the bedrooms by shutting a few doors.

DD does not go to bed until ridiculously late anyway :)
