Kitchen - pull out larder - will I regret not getting it?

We only have room for one full height unit and only 300mm wide. The internal gubbins to make it a pull out larder is £457.80. We need to cut back on the total cost of the kitchen.

Will I bitterly regret not forking out £450 to make it into a pull out larder.

We have gone through the storage space we have now and what we will have in the new kitchen as we will definitely have significantly more storage and more at a usable height I am a short arse

Opinions please.

I am getting Howdens at cost - I have the quote and the %age reduction from list price for each item. I also have the full list price catalogue - I am actually getting a better %age reduction on the units etc than the builder did for his own kitchen - as he gave me his invoices to give me an idea of costs!

The cheapest I have found the oven I want on line is £734, howdens price to my builder is £684.

I can have whatever want. I have chosen to go with Howdens units after a brief look at alternatives, I am supplying most of the appliances myself but listed them to see what price they offered.

I always thought that I wanted a pull out larder but came on here to find out if they really are good. I will be getting wire pull out baskets instead!

I have had an Ikea kitchen before, it was fine BUT I'd have to get childcare to go look at thing with dh and then childcare to go and collect it etc etc etc. I would really love one of the lovely German kitchens I could get down the road but I can't afford it.

I love my pull out larder unit and my only regret is that I didn't fit in more of them instead of having traditional cupboards. Like hermione they've literally changed my life. Also love my big pull out 'pan' drawers. Amazing. So much better than squatting on the floor and twisting my neck to try and see the dark back of the cupboard.

The 300mm wire pull out baskets in B&Q are cheap, where is our nearest B&Q??? I wonder if wickes do them?

Sadly due to my c*appy house I have to have 2 L shaped corner cupboards that can't have twirly things in - one has the gas meter in it and ones has the plumbing in it!

Currently the corner with the gas meter has no cupboard at all so at least we're progressing forward.

I wish we could afford to move Sad

Howdens wire baskets are rubbish . I had my kitchen put in in December and they're always falling off their runners. But I have a tall larder which i love although my bil pulled it off it's runners and now you have to be really careful opening it in case it falls off again.

Your kitchen will be nice when its done Cargirl. We have 2 corners like that -one with a massive manifold for underfloor heating and the other with the gas meter.Yes ,your builder sounds honest tbw.
