it's huge and so far plain white, looks awful. any suggestions? the stairs are sort of curved round and the space is about 25ft

loads of black and white photos in black frames - or architectural prints in the same frames. Make a collage out of them rather than putting them in a neat ascending row up the stairs.

i would need tons of them Grin it's really hard to reach right to the top of it too

Just one central display of a group of photos/prints then?

It sounds more dramatic and imposing than boring if it helps.

We have the same problem and I think we are going to get a large print from surface view. They have some lovely ones.

PaperView · 19/04/2011 21:09

We have a wall sticker from the binary box up our stairs.

southeastastra · 19/04/2011 21:10

oop sorry 25 ft would be silly, it's about 12ft

I love these prints from the natural history museum

They're really good value considering how big they are.

southeastastra · 19/04/2011 21:19

i added a picture to show how boring it is - like this stickers but the wall has an awful ribbed wallpaper on it atm so i'd have to strip that off - and that's too much like hard work Grin

wow sea- that is actually quite a boring wall Grin

A huge map?

What other types of picture do you have in your home?

How about a huge Venture print?

annh · 19/04/2011 22:15

A brass rubbing which you have done yourself? Years ago, friends had a wall like that and took themselves off to some cathedral where you could do brass rubbings and came back with a lovely life-size one which they framed.
