Sorry I don't know liskeard well, I'm a north Cornwall lass. Is there a mumsnet local in that area?

scaryteacher · 16/04/2011 16:38

In Liskeard itself, or one of the villages?

Liskeard has good schools, and the comp is OK too. It also has a leisure centre with a good sized pool and reasonably priced swimming lessons.

You can get the train from Liskeard to Plymouth (not bad for shopping) and there are also a good range of shops in Liskeard itself.

There is this site that is worth a look perhaps
www.liskeard.gov.uk/

Good luck - I can't wait to move back to Cornwall when we get back to UK, and I'll be about 20 minutes from Liskeard.

I am not moving back to Cornwall for at least another 2 years, or longer if dh gets an extension to his job out here.

Tamar Valley is my neck of the woods - Callington/Gunnislake way.

Good secondary for SEN is Launceston.
