HOMES AND GARDENS MARCH COPY???

orientaltation · 15/04/2011 06:09

Does anyone have a copy of it as I did but it has disappeared and I want to know a fabric name that was featured. It was a bed cushion, white background and red birds/foliage. I think it was featured in a swedish feel bedroom with 2 single beds matching. Thanks in advance.

Have looked through my copy and there's only one Swedish style red/White bedroom, and the bed cushions are red with a sort of cream shell design. They don't give details for it though, sorry.

It might be Nina Campbell birdcage walk colour 6 I am not mad material woman but it is quite well known among interior designers

orientaltation · 15/04/2011 07:19

oh no! Maybe it was febs one then. There was some pale blue in the room too and I even googled the designer who has a very small range of fabrics bit was def white with red songbird and leaves etc. Do you have the feb copy too by any chance. Thanks. i remember that the issue also had a advert for that indian marquee company.

The bedding in the picture you mean is by Jane Churchill it's the daddies one but the bird cushions aren,t JC

noddyholder · 15/04/2011 07:33

Not daddies ! Fairies blooming I pad!

orientaltation · 15/04/2011 08:30

I have Feb's copy. Is that what you are after?

noddyholder · 15/04/2011 08:43

I don't know but the magazine lists jane churchill as fabric designer but the birds is not hers! You can see teh picture on their website but stockists doesn't mention teh cushions only the bedlinen. I don't buy h and g

fresh · 15/04/2011 12:05

Have checked Feb, mar and apr copies and still can't find it, but if it was a small designer (I mean one with a small range, not physically tiny, IYSWIM Grin) was it Vanessa Arbuthnot or Emma Bond?

noddyholder · 15/04/2011 12:19

is this it?

orientaltation · 15/04/2011 12:25

oh my - this is frustrating. I think there were two pics of the same room and the fabric might be mentioned in the other one IYSWIM?? Can't seem to see it on the website - can you link to the page you saw so I can double check it is the one I mean? Thanks

OP posts:
fresh · 15/04/2011 13:23

Ahem. That link is actually one of my projects, and it was in the sept 09 issue! It's Flower Fairies by Jane Chuchill, but pm me if you want any other info Smile

hf128219 · 15/04/2011 13:36

Are you sure it wasn't House and Garden?? Grin

orientaltation · 15/04/2011 14:47

Oh no nothing like that Noddy. More like vintage folk design! I am doing my daughters room in red and white. I don't know Hf128219 maybe it was!!! Ha ha. Usuallly always but Home though. ARRRGGHHH. I even googled her but now can't seem to find it in my history! It was a really love;y picture of I think an attic and the 2 matching single beds were in blue and white linen (I think) with blankets etc and rectangular cushions made with this fabric. When I looked up the designer she maybe had the same choce amont as Emily Bond but also other items like greetings cards etc. Any chance that helps Fresh?

Which mag does that indian tent. marquee company advertise with?? Don't say all of them? Man, this is driving me nuts. Thanks

OP posts:
orientaltation · 15/04/2011 14:50

Maybe, just maybe it was red with white birds. I am pregnant and will have 3 children under 4 if that helps me get away with such ridiculousness?!

the one at the bottom

fresh · 15/04/2011 15:35

OK. I have the European archive of interiors magazines here so I am going to go through all of them until I find it! Actually that image is ringing a bell. Watch this space...Grin

fresh · 15/04/2011 15:49

But it also occurs to me, could it be Kate Forman?

fresh · 15/04/2011 16:44

Am admitting defeat! Have looked through all my Homes and Gardens, House and Garden, English Home, Period Living, Country homes and interiors, 25 horrible beautiful homes, .... nothing. However, have discovered I have magazines going back to 2009 so think a trip to the recycling might be an idea...

Sorry! Hope you find it!

orientaltation · 15/04/2011 22:13

Oh fresh, that is so kind of you! For a minute there I thought - ooh, could have been Kate Forman but alas, no. Oh dear tis driving me nuts. Where is that darn magazine??

fancymoon.co.uk do some lovely vintage type prints I think they do birds I saw one made into a blind but don't think it was red and white. Keep looking I know what its like when you have a vision of something Have been there many times!

orientaltation · 18/04/2011 06:30

At bloomin last, I have realised what the issue was (mind the pun)!!! It is Country living which my mother left behind when she was staying and the fabric is Bird song cherry red linen by Celia Birtwell! Thanks for all the effort put in - hugely appreciated! Would so love to be an interior desingner - one day maybe!

Phew! ((puts out bunting, raises glass)) Smile

Glad you found it, hope the room comes together.

GrendelsMum · 18/04/2011 08:35

Fresh - no, don't throw them all away! Keep at least some of them - a friend kept about two magazines per year going back to the eighties, and they are hilarious!
