Velux window blinds - expensive aren't they?

85 quid for a black out blind, 79 for an ordinary black blind.

Any opinions, is it worth it? Any alternatives?

There are already some on our windows, one cream and one light pink but they are stained and don't really keep out the light. Maybe we should just live with them and accept ds is never going to sleep...

Am pretty sure that ours were a lot more expensive than that. We have exterior blackout blinds and internal venetian blinds. Way better than when we just had the interior blinds. Worth every penny.

Apparently you can get them for £20 in Dunhelm Mill. Our friends have them and they seem fine.

So I am actually a bit of a cheapskate then?

Dh has beat me to it and done something unspeakable to the window with a binbag. Ds still waking up all night.
