Have been looking at the price of freestanding wardrobes with sliding doors. Given that things like the Ikea Pax etc are are more expensive than I had anticipated, I am wondering whether it might be worth getting a carpenter to build some instead. The recess is about 3m wide. Has anyone done this and can you give me an idea how much you paid? Any opinions on whether it is worth doing this?
