This evening I am supposed to be making something to cover our bedroom window (a job I have been putting off for months).
I am using Sanderson Dandelions fabric and due to brokeness thought it would have to be a Roman blind to use less fabric. However, I have just realised that (1) it will be a bit tight in terms of seam allowances so will only be a couple of cm below the window (stupid big repeating pattern) and (2) I do actually have enough fabric to do actual curtains (though not quite double the window width - 2 x 137 cm rather than 2 x 148 cm). (I have also put a 20 cm cut in one of the bits of fabric before realising that curtains were an option but reckon I can magic tape this back together and shouldn't be too noticeable
).
So slightly too short Roman blind or slightly too narrow curtains? Does anyone care? I don't think DH or I do, I just want to get this done
Oh if it matters, there is a smaller side window in the room too which has a plain coloured Roman blind on it (though I guess if I do a Roman blind on the big window then will have enough fabric to do another for the smaller one, if I don't lose the will to live).
Thank you if you have actually managed to read this most boring of posts :)
