How long did it take from formal mortgage offer to completion?

Just being nosy (and impatient!) to find out how long a piece of string is really! So come on, share with me how long your purchase took from survey/offer to completion while I start packing and wait with bated breath for my sale to complete ....

Depends - some people manage it in a couple of weeks (chain free). Last time we did it, it took 3 months from Offer to Completion and that with everyone seemingly pulling together.

We have just completed and it took exactly 12 weeks and we had offer within first few days.

With us the slight delays were down to unregistered land and complications re. easement over neighbouring land.

But was all very smooth really.

By offer I meant our mortgage offer which came through incredibly quickly as used a fab broker.

Eight months from our offer to vendors, through to completion. It was a comedy of errors, but we got there in the end.

20 days here but I was renting and sellers were desperate to move quickly.

It took me an hour to get a formal mortgage offer.

And four days from offer of a mortgage to confirm mortgage on the house I wanted to buy (after full structural survey).
