I have my heart set on a freestanding tub (would have to be one that has a flat side for putting against the wall as our room is not that big)

BUT- what to do about shower curtain? Are there special ones you can get that fit around? or screens? Have googled to no avail....

You can buy circular shower rails to put at the shower end

Oh really? You mean a seal between the tub and wall?

Yep. If square at wall edgesmaybe ok. Also acrylic baths move iunless properly reinforced so standing in them for a shower can break the seal. Get steel especially as you probably want clawfoot? So support struts would look weird. Also google something called classi seal- well worth getting to make tub watertight.

Is bathrroom ground or first floor? Be bit careful with steel bath as when full of water can weigh Aton so if ustairs floor may need reinforcing and remember if you can't get good seal and water rots a woodenfloor you couldhave problems.
