I've done one coat - it look a bit patchy but i think that might be my technique Wink.

Do I need another coat or will it be fine once I put the satinwood on top?

Primer is just to prepare the mdf and stop the paint soaking in, one coat will be fine. The colour and finish is from the satinwood.
