Ok, paint fans, what colour shall we paint our front room?

It's pretty big but doesn't get a huge amount of light esp in winter. Currently icky beige, I want a neutral colour but not this! Flooring is oak, sofas are bright red, it's a new-build so no need for poncey Farrow & Ball, Dulux or B&Q will do fine! Any ideas...?

Should add that actually it will need to do the (through) dining room (beech table/bookcases) and stairs/landing too (pinky-red carpet)...

I am in the middle of doing our lounge/diner
2 end walls are deep burgundy
2 other walls are sand stone
chimney breast in trees wallpaper
I like darrk colours, and have gone all dramatic in my old age
What colours do you like? Can you use any existing furniture/ etc for inspiration?

"Stone" works with everything.
