Oh Chatee, remember you telling us about it the last time. Sad I was as fed up as you six months ago, but it does happen. Your time will come. ((((un-mn like hugs))))

aaaggghhh

Oh Im really sorry. I never thought we would move, so I feel your pain. Its so stressful and disheartening when chains collapse.

You poor thing. We have finally just exchanged, having seen the house in August, and got an offer on our house in Jan. It was supposed to be a straightforward chain...
Good luck - it will happen!

How are your kids taking the news? Have you got any other interest in your house?

We ended up going for a new build, right behind my Mum. Its not ready until May though so we (me, OH, DD and Ddog) are camping in my Mums dining room for a few months - she is not impressed!!!

However, anything beats the position we were in a few months ago. It does happen, keep your chin up.

The Scottish system does def have a lot going for it as once we finally found our buyer it was no hassle, a couple of phone calls, one signature and less than 6 weeks from viewing to moving out. That said, our buyer was a first time buyer and we were moving into Mums which makes things a bit easier I suppose. Why are the systems different?

As easy as it all went for me in the end, it was certainly the most stressful 18 months of my life and it will never ever be repeated. As OH said yesterday the only way we'll be leaving our new house is in a wooden box. Quite.

Crap crap crap.
Our second chain fell through a couple of weeks ago. At least this time round we hadn't put an offer in etc our end. Made that mistake last time (expensive, survey etc)
It is the worst system with no protection to stop these sort of things from happening at any point.
I've mentally lived in so many houses now that I really need a break from it all. Just want to settle here for a bit while new baby arrives before we start all over again.
Best of luck. It so hideous the whole thing.
