Tumble dryer on top of washing machine

I am having my utility room updated and I would like my dryer on top of the washer. I have seen this elsewhere but I don't know how it's done.
Is there a housing kit especially for he job or will I need a joiner to build some staging?

This link might be a useful starting point: www.whitegoodshelp.co.uk/wordpress/tumble-dryer-stacking-kits-stack-a-tumble-dryer-on-top%C2%A0of-a-washing-machine/

I've bookmarked it for myself, as we want to sort out our utility room sometime, and stacking the tumble dryer makes sense for us.

mine are stacked. i bought a stacking kit but for the life of me cannot see what benefit it has over just plonking one appliance on top of the other. maybe i bought the wrong product though? Anyway, the dryer hasn't shifted, which was my concern, given the vibrations from the washing machine.

I have a Siemens drier stacked on top of a Siemens washing machine with a stacking kit (which includes a very useful pull out tray for sorting washing).

Be warned, though, that when you get your washing machine serviced/repaired, the repair man may need some help taking the drier on and off.

YNK. We have this but our fitter just used worktop as we have ours in a lobby so there is only around 20cm between the wall and the machine. He used wood screwed to the wall and then the worktop is on top of that. Seems very sturdy and matches the kitchen (and it was free as it was spare worktop!
