Thinking of putting a new kitchen in, and all going great until came to worktop choice. Its a minefield.... laminate v wood v granite v composite. We thought we were getting there when picked Composite as you can get splashback made with this and looks pretty seamless. But then which composite.....Corian v the cheaper alternatives? Anyone out there with advice on what they went for and the pros/cons?
Thanks!

TuTu join our long winded thread called 'Please tell me induction hobs are rubbish' on this topic. It's called something like that anyway! 60ish posts so far and only 3 of us keeping it going! Corian - crap and plastic looking. Granite lovely but expensive. Composite Quartz looks a poor relation next to granite. I'm looking into glass at the moment. Would love another/your opinion. And not just worktops either: hot water taps, extractors and splashbacks too. Oh, and induction vs gas hobs. We're going to cover everything eventually. Hope you find us Smile

Our laminate from IKEA scratched immediately - but the rest of the kitchen is fab!

My friend is a kitchen fitter and he has just put granite in his own kitchen!
