Italian designed kitchens...

I am trying to find a kitchen company to design our new kitchen. I would love to go for Roundhouse but this will be way out of DH's our budget as they tend to start at around £30k and we are going to have quite a big kitchen! There seem to be a few Italian companies in the market now that are very competitive on price, starting at around £7.5-£13k, such as Lago, Varenna (Poliform) and Tisettanta. Does anyone have any knowledge of these, what is the quality like? The designs look great on the websites....

Italian designed kitchens look good on the surface but the quality didn't seem as good as the German kitcehns when we examined the drawers, hinges and finishing touches.

pinkcushion can you recommend some of the german kitchens? I'm looking at kitstone at the moment to design a large kitchen as can get the hand painted look without the £££££

There is a company based in Cardiff that do German kitchens with similar looking designs to the Italian ones, I was wondering if it might be worth a trek there (start from £10k so not top end pricing). This is the one I am thinking of here. Anyone used them?
