We are fitting an exractor fan in the bathroom and instructions state that double pole fused spur with 3 amp fuse is required. Am having trouble locating a spur with 3 amp fuse. Can we just buy one with a 13 amp fuse and replace it with a 3 amp one?

Great - thanks for the quick response . Dh now has another query!
Can we use a 13 amp spur as the main on/off switch for a heated towel rail?. This will be part of an independent circuit which runs to garage (not the main lighting circuit). Am in a bungalow if this makes a difference. TIA.

He says yes, you just need to be careful which zone it is in in the bathroom (not that I know what any of this means, I just read your queries to him and he muttered yeah that's fine!)

The switch will be outside the bathroom in the hall.
