Looking for headboard like the white company one

but in black velvet!

Anyone seen any around or had a custom made one?

I tried headboards.uk.ltd - but they could only do floating buttons - not deep buttoning.

you could have one made for the fraction of the cost of WC one! Ring round some upholsterers - I see what yo mean about the deep buttons now.

Prob. easier to find one in some other fabric (ebay!) and get re-done by upholsterer. My mum is going to classes to learn how to do her chesterfield (deep buttoned) and a headboard should be pretty simple being squarish...

I did think of an upholsterer type person - cos as you say - it's the same principle as a chesterfield.

I have been looking for one of these for ages as I love the deep buttoned look style but not the White Co price tag (or the fact the velvet is made from polyester).
Am going to try local upholsterers as I cant find anything similar on-line.

Try Dormy House (they have a website but I haven't worked out how to post a link Blush). They will make one in your own fabric and custom size if you want.

One more thing - be careful in your choice of velvet. Viscose velvet will pressure mark much more than cotton or linen velvet, which is important for a headboard which gets a lot of wear where your head rests on it and not much anywhere else.

Thanks Fresh - have had a look - but they only do the 'floating' buttons as well. drat!
