Choosing Flooring!

Just tell me what colours to go for, as we have been humming and hawing for weeks and the builder need to know - NOW!

Bathrooms - White Suites also need tile colour)

Livingroom/Halls - Our sofa is dark brown leather and large TV unit in brown/black.

Kitchen - Units are pale wood, worktops are slightly darker.

Choosing flooring from Quick Step. Just looking for ideas on colour, does dark sofa mean dark flooring? Is having the same in the livingroom/hall a good idea?

Wood skirtings also need something doing with them, stain or varnish?

(also looking for names for the house, if you haven't seen my other thread)

I would have the same colour flooring throughout. Dark sofa does not mean dark flooring, I would go for oak, not too light or too dark.
Skirtings I would stain.

The same in the kitchen too? I like that idea, OH and builder seemed to think you need a diferent colour in the kitchen?

DH fits flooring and often puts the same right through, looks good.
