Shutters - any recommendations for suppliers

We are moving into a new house next week and I want to get shutters for the living room and bedroom windows. I want solid wood ones (no slats). The house is victorian and I want victorian style shutters.

I have googles but there are 1000s of shutter suppliers. Has anyone had any good experiences they can pass on?

Whereabouts do you live?

If you want non-plantation style, you might be better getting a joiner to knock something up (or going to a salvage yard if your windows are fairly standard size and shape).

Our windows are odd sizes and I got a 3-panel shutter for the bathroom made to measure from The Shutter Shop. Go to their website, it's pretty straightforward to order. Mine cost £157 and I'm very happy with it.
