Ideas for understairs WC

This downstairs loo sticks out as ground floor is open plan and updated. Loo was roughly done by previous owner - covered in white tiles interspersed with pink flower tiles, small corner basin with separate hot/cold taps (not good for little ones!)

Want to redo on a budget. Any suggestions for making it nice?

How much budget are you talking?

Does it need a new toilet and basin? or just new taps?

What about the flooring?

question, questions....Grin

Update the fittings and put in a simple mixer tap and then why not add some funky wallpaper, I think this looks great in a downstairs loo.

Do you want to start again or just update what you have?To update I would use white mosaic tiles all over get a really skinny rectangular basin with a single tap and put a single slim shelf around the top of the room so that nothing is on teh floor.get a new white heavy loo seat and maybe put some funky towels in a colour you love.If the tiles are sound go over them don't take tehm off.

Don't want to spend more than £1k. We already have the toilet, a new corner basin and nice tap.

I was hoping to be able to tile over existing ones (mosaics sound nice but perhaps expensive - although I suppose I could do one wall mosaics and plain tiles for the rest)

Or can I wallpaper over tiles?

Flooring would be same as hallway - engineered wood.

Mosaics aren't really expensive esp plain white ones.

ok, and small spaces do need light colours I'm told.
