Builder Recommendation South Bucks

Hi there, just wondering if anyone could recommend a reliable builder in the South Bucks region? We're hoping to add a small extension to a house we've put an offer on which is in a conservation area, so a builder with local knowledge of what can and can't be done would be ideal. It's a fairly straight forward extension, so I'm guessing an architect wouldn't be necessary but perhaps we'd also need someone to do technical drawings?! I haven't a clue!

Hi - we're in South Bucks...DH is a builder (he's never been seen on Rogue Traders!) and could give you some pointers. He does purely private work and does lots of tech drawings in the absence of an architect for projects that basically don't need one. He's pretty booked up - but if you PM me and tell us where you are he may be able to give you more of an idea...so you know what's involved. He could probably give you some names of other builders/electricians and plumbers too.

Before I forget...is the building itself listed? Just that some works done on a listed building qualify for a VAT registered builder...so it's something to bear in mind

Just read that back about the VAT. Basically, if you want the VAT back - you need a VAT registered builder! Sorry - didn't make much sense before!
