Sell Your House Fast! Anyone done this?

I have registered with Pure Acquisitions. I have done my research,and realise that I will be getting a much lower figure than market value.I am happy with this,as I have good reasons to need to move fast.

We have agreed a figure and they are marketing my house to their investors.They say I could have a proceedable offer within 48hrs,or maybe a bit longer.

Has anyone sold in this way?
Any other experiences of these agencies?

No, I've only ever heard bad stories about very low offers (often revised at last minute) and hidden costs. I'd be wary - have you tried googling them or looking on moneysavingexpert?

if you are really willing to sell your house cheap and fast mention it to an estate agent. They will have a list of "investors" ready to rip your arm off for an offer like that!!

have no experience, but the concept sounds dodgy... makes me think of those awful equity release schemes which con elderly people out of huge sums.

Do you really need to sell THAT fast - would you not be better approaching a couple of local estate agents, and agree a fast sale strategy (really keen selling price, quick completion essential, attractive commission rate for them?)

I think the "maybe a bit longer" is very dodgy. How long is a little bit?

auction would be another option. 20% buyers at the mo are cash buyers so they can do things fast. Sounds v v dodgy

A friend of mine needed to sell her house to clear debts, as couldn't afford loan repayments, enquiries with these sort of companies showed they were offering 15% or more below the lowest valuation she'd had from any agent. Plus the small print indicated that the offer could be revised downwards after a survey (which I think she had to pay for). In the end she sold to a developer, took a few months (but could have been done quicker if she'd pushed more) but got a much better price. based on her experience, I would definitely suggest either asking agents to market to cash buyers for quick sale, or going to auction. either would be a better bet than those type of cos imo.
