Next sofas

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of Next sofas - what are they like in terms of quality, durability etc.?

We need some new ones so been looking around and they seem to have the most choice in the sizes we need, but was a bit unsure about how long they'd last.

Main concern is that all the fabrics seem to have a sort of velvet-y / chenille type finish (there's probably a word for it, just don't know what it is!) and I wasn't sure how that would stand up to 2 small children.

Thanks.

We got a leather sofa bed from Next about 9-10 years ago and it is still going strong. Would recommend it quality wise but don't know about the durability of non-leather coverings.

We've got one 8 years old. The velvety covers are doing fine, have been through the machine a few times and no shrinkage etc. It's gone a bit soggy in the middle, most likely due to loads of stuff being piles on it when it was in storage for 3 months while we moved.

I'd say they are good quality for the money. Far better than DFS.

We've got leather ones from Next (better with 2 grubby boys). They are really comfy, hold their shape and look fab. Would recommend.

I also have anover-sized arm chair in my bedroom from Next which is the most comfortable seat I have ever sat in!!! It is fabric, but the boys are banned from our bedroom so it hasn't had to stand the test of children!!
