Paint - Fired Earth/Farrow & Ball colours?

HELP! had decided to paint bathroom in Fired Earth Duck Egg but now am finding it hard to get the colour and realised how expensive it is too! Was hoping to get it from Homebase using Nectar points but they are running down stocks & have none of this colour left. Want a bluey/greeny colour as we have white tiles with a greenish border and dark blue/almost navy accessories (bathroom cabinet, mirror etc) so need something that will go with both of those and not be too green or too blue IYKWIM? Was thinking about trying F&B Blue Ground - has anyone tried this?

Take the Fired Earth/F&B colour chart to Johnstones (trade paint place) and point to the colour you want. They will make it up for you. Cheap. Won't have the depth of pigment that is so great on F&B etc, but will be the same colour.

Thanks for that RattysPicnic - may try and track down a Johnstones place although thinking about trying the F&B Blue Ground now. Want to get from Homebase and use Nectar points! Smile

Mins, they are selling all the Fired and Earth paints off with 40% off at my local Homebase. I bought Marram yesterday, which is a blue/green. £16 a tin so also have a happy husband, who grumbles at the F&B and Fired Earth usual prices.

Hi Glencoe - thanks for that. I did see they were selling them all off. They had the duck egg I wanted in emulsion but not eggshell which is what I wanted for the bathroom - typical. HOmebase didn't do the Blue Ground F&B colour which looked similar so we ended up going for a Dulux mixed colour which is OK but def does not have the subtlety of a FE or F&B colour. Thanks anyway. Smile
