The only one I can get to work is Ikea but it doesn't have the appliances at all that we have plus Ikea have funny sizes!

I've tried B&Q - ended up in a continuous loop of click here to open kitchen planner only for it to launch into the general webpage Confused

Tried magnet as well - that wouldn't work either Sad

Have googled but can't find anything else free!

www.floorplanner.com/
you can adjust all items to size

CarGirl · 08/02/2011 19:39

I've got an under counter fridge & freezer now and no issues with them!

I really don't want to use a step stool every time I get something out of the fridge!

I think I'm nearly there - doesn't quite show exactly how I need it to but close enough

Now you can come and criticise

how do you feel about the amount of worktop?

CarGirl · 08/02/2011 20:57

Happy - I want as much as possible, it is the issue we struggle with at the moment as so little of it is together in one run.

this is my current kitchen Grin, it is not usually as cluttered as the photos - they were taken a while ago!

Bloody difficult to use/view isn't it!!

Will you be able to open the window?

Along the row of cabinets one looks smaller than the rest - is it an extractor?

CarGirl · 08/02/2011 21:23

Have you got it in 3d???

Window doesn't open at the moment and will open into a conservatory so not an issue - we just have the door open if we want ventilation - lol!

The round thing is an extractor - wouldn't have that but it's the only that would fit, will just have fewere/smaller wall cabinets to make it work IYSWIM.

Bronze !!!!! I've just spent quite a lot of time on your floorplanner.com. It's great! Once you get to know it it's really. I just can't get the walls the right colour.

OK everybody, floorplanner.com is great. You lay it all out in 2D and then you can click on 3D. You can make the walls transparent so you can look all around your room from different angles. Splendid!

CarGirl · 08/02/2011 21:35

Jux just look at my kitchen in Ikea and transfer it onto floorplanner for me - don't think I can bear to do it again Grin

OP posts:
Jux · 08/02/2011 21:41

Hey, no sweat!

ChippingInSmellyCheeseFreak · 08/02/2011 22:03

Jux - can you link to it once it's in floorplanner?

CarGirl · 08/02/2011 22:05

I'd like a 2 ring gas burner under the extractor fan Wink and a double oven in that tall unit!

OP posts:
greenlotus · 08/02/2011 22:14

I could see it in Ikea.

I would just say that four tall cabinets seem a lot for a small room. Could you lose or narrow one of them, and bring the worktop round the second corner a bit? And have the hob as far left as you can so it's not too close to the sink. There is less worktop than you started with on your design it seems to me.

I think there's plenty of room for a normal 4 burner hob though.

Attempting a link here, just for layout, ignore random selection of base cabinets.

CarGirl · 08/02/2011 22:23

4 tall ones - I thought I only had 3????

The one in the corner between the 2 doors hides the combi boiler so could be shallower than standard.

I only have the equivalent of 5 x 60cm worktop at the moment plus the drainer, plus the one under the microwave but you can't access that - but it's spread out all over the place which is the main issue it seems.

We rarely use 2 burners and use a steam stacker and we have never actually used 3 or burners in the last 9 years so just seems a waste!

What you have done is what we have now in effect - not enough storage as in the corner next to the oven is a huge gas meter Sad and not enough worktop to have 6 full size dinner plates together to dish up.

Sob - I've just double checked and it's linked to the wrong flippan design!

I don't know how to get to link to my new improved one Sad

The hob's neither here nor there really, it's more about the working space. Where were you going to put the sink and hob?

I started from your design so must have got the wrong one, sorry.

What i did was save the design, email it to myself and copy the link from the email into the MN message. i know it's useless!

greenlotus · 08/02/2011 22:30

Its the same as before?

CarGirl · 08/02/2011 22:30

Sink and hob there but have a tall narrow cupboard and tall oven unit where you put the fridge freezer (facing other way) then low level units all the way around. We've always had under counter fridge and freezer so that's not an issue to us.

Ah -

That looks loads better. To put the hob in just replace your fridge unit (or whatever) with ordinary cupboard then choose a hob, or put the corner unit the other way round so it lets you put one in. There is a double oven unit if you hunt for it too.

In the "high cabinets with shelves" there are some which are only 37cm deep, one of those would give you the idea in your boiler corner.

CarGirl · 08/02/2011 22:46

Under electric hobs it says non available Sad will be having gas again anyway Grin

Do you think it will be okay have the oven there even though the counter next to it is set back? I was thinking perhaps using extra deep counter just for that little bit there so the toaster, breadbin and fruitbowl could go at the back and still have full depth in front.

We will have a top oven which is a microwave combi so no more microwave on the worktop.

We need everything in cupboards if possible as it's a really dusty (ie pollution) house.

OP posts:
greenlotus · 08/02/2011 22:57

I'm sure they do a 2 ring gas hob, never mind not worth losing sleep.

Oven is fine IMO. You only put things in and out, you don't stand there, so as long as you can take one or two steps to put a thing down it should be fine. But then I have never lived with a high oven so what do I know?

It it does look better already. I'm sure someone will be along with some genius ideas anyway Grin have fun with it.

Jux · 09/02/2011 15:09

I can't link to it. I can't do it! I can't get into the Ikea plan!
