Does anyone rent/manage holiday lets?

Can you tell me what safety certificates/insurance things have to be in place if you own a furnished holiday let? I am guessing checking the gas/boiler for CO, but do you have to have all electrical items safety checked and labelled? Also, what sort of insurance? Do you need something to cover you if someone injures themselves while staying there?

Any other tips?
Thanks

Yes you need public liability insurance (a requirement of most letting agents). NFU are quite reasonable on price.

Again you need to have electric and boiler checks especially if using an agent.

You also need to do a risk assessment - if its your first time - contact a letting agent in the area of your property and ask them for an owners pack - most can provide this and it will cover all your needs.

Hope it helps

Thanks for that. Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to thank you. Been busy getting things organised!
