Lining a wooden unit by the Aga

We're currently installing a new wooden kitchen and a couple of the new units fit fairly close to our aga, as I was worried about the heat from the aga scorching the wooden doors the kitchen company suggested we get some type of heat pad to line the outside of the wooden units (you won't be able to see them when the kitchen has been fitted) to stop them getting scorched. Has anyone else done this? and if so is it something specific I should be looking for. Thanks in advance for any replies Smile

A piece of fire retardant plaster board between the two. You can get this from Wickes.

I would phone Aga and ask them. They must get this question a lot.

Also check minimum gap regulations/advice (also from Aga) as this could be a fire risk.
