Does anyone know about insulated plasterboard

The front of our house is solid wall and considerably colder that the rest of the house.

We need to have some work done which will involve some replastering.

Does anybody know anything about insulated plasterboard? Can it be put up by a normal plasterer or does it have to be done differently?

I'm thinking of putting it on one of the external walls in DS's bedroom and in our sitting room?

It can be put up by a normal plasterer and the skimmed over.We have had this done in two bathrooms against external walls and it really does make a difference. The alternative is insulated wallpaper - but this is over 50 pounds a roll.I think you would only use wallpaper if size matters[not losing height or width].

Marvellous - I'm going to ask the plasterer about them.

I feel so guilty as we and DS2 sleep in newly extended luxury and DS1 has to have a hot water bottle to sleep!

You can get insulated rendor too! My db put insulated plaster board in his house - it was nearly 6 inches thick but I'm sure you can get it finer than that.
