What do you mean by buckled?

It's meant to be fixed to the front panel of the machine and sort of 'floating' and wobbly where it sits next to the drum (the bit that spins round)

the drum is meant to wobble about..can you 'spin' it with your hand? Is there any unusual noise when you do this?

the drum spins round but the rubber bit is completely bent out of shape!

You can replace the rubber door seal but DH did it, not me. Sorry, not much help.

the rubber door seal is fairly easy to replace, but i have never heard of one bending out of shape!

are there any 'no call out fee' companies near you? i'd get one of those in to check it over tbh.

a new seal isn't too dear, but it sounds like you might have a different underlying problem to me.

yes there was an underlying problem - drum dropped, spring snapped and timer blown!! New machine needed!! Great!
