How much should I pay for odd job man?

DH is useless at DIY etc and we need loads of stuff doing, so I've decided to find an odd job man to help me out. Does anyone have any ideas as to how much I should pay? And do they work on an hourly rate, or per job?
Also, if you can recommend anyone in the north Kent area that'd be cool...
Thanks. Smile

Hi. My OH is a plumber now, but before that he was an odd job man and charged £75 a day. Mind you, we are in the NW so I would imagine it would be more expensive in Kent.

In Surrey a tradesperson charges about £180 per day so I would imagine it would be less than that.
