So how much is a full structural survey nowadays?

We've had an offer accepted on a house (after 2 months deliberation by the vendor!) and have mortgage agreed just waiting for valuation from them but we also want a full structural survey.

So any ideas as to how much these are roughly nowadays - am in the south west if that makes a difference.

We paid £1k four years ago and for that money he didn't note the decking installed above the air bricks or the lack of a firewall in the roof.
