leaving biscuits for viewers - friendly or a bit weird?

We've got a block viewing day tomorrow (11 viewings!) Will be clearing out and leaving our agent to it. I want to leave nice biscuits and think it's friendly and underlines we're expecting lots of viewers.. DH thinks I'm over egging and that we'll look desperate.

Waddyareckon? I will bow to Mumsnet expert consensus.. but will take any biscuit emoticon as a yes vote!

another vote against....
also feels a bit too friendly, they are all strangers after all
Good luck tho!

You lot are inhospitable weirdos. Wink

How did the viewings go?

FWIW, I LOVE a homemade biscuit but I am with the majority on this - no biscuits. When we were viewing houses I basically didn't care about the current owners and wanted as little trace of them as possible because you are trying to imagine yourselves living in the house, not them. And biscuits says "this is MY house, come into MY house". Not "this could be YOUR house....imagine your sofa here". Etc.

Weeehee! 2 offers so far, looks like we'll be going to best and final on Monday :)

Wigeon · 08/01/2011 21:15

That's lovely - I love it.

Word of advice though, if you are going to comment on the offers made i think you should remove the link in case your bidders are mumsnetters.

TheMonster · 09/01/2011 15:50

What a beautiful home! Why would you want to move???!!!
I love the wooden flooring. I would like to make an offer but I don't think you'd accept it!

nickschick · 09/01/2011 16:02

Gorgeous home ,vv taateful yet comfortable - you dont need biscuits to sell it Envy.

treacletart · 09/01/2011 16:03

Aw you're all too kind! Love living here, but we'll need another bedroom sooner rather than later (dd and ds sharing) and we'd love a garden. You're right though, I should probably ask for the link to be removed to be safe...

I wouldn't do it. I made a pot of fresh coffee when some viewers were coming. They refused it as it we had offered them dog food.
