Bamboo flooring, what colour walls?

Our bamboo flooring was delivered yesterday. We're having it in the lounge, dining room , hallway, and study. It's natural strand woven bamboo, and looks lovely, so far!. i love the colour of it, but I'm a bit worried about what colours to put on the walls to compliment it. Anyone got this flooring, and if so what colours have you used with it? Thanks.

We've got it in the hall, its lovely but I think there are different types, this is quite a chestnutty colour, quite dark. We haven't done the walls yet but I'm thinking something relatively neutral (love F&B Shaded White / Elephant's Breath / Skimming Stone). Let me know what you decide ;-)!

Thanks for replying. Ours is a lighter colour than yours, sort of golden brown. I'm wondering if we should go for a darker colour on the walls to contrast?

We have bamboo flooring in our sitting room and the walls are what's called "picture gallery red". Mind you, it's quite a bright room because it faces south with a bay window - the colour might be a bit dark in a north facing room.

i think you should just go with colours that you like and not worry so much about contrast. we have wooden floor that sound similar colour to yours and we have light colours on the walls - this gives a very light, airy and relaxed feel which we like. but if you like strong colours and impact you wouldn't

We have brilliant white with ours.
